Post road trip to the north rim

Roger & I are going to try and camp at point sublime on the north rim. Roger's health isn't good, so I'm thinking dropping off the wife & dogs at my daughters house in Mesa for the week. With time be short, I'm thinking of hauling the m/c's to flagstaff hopefully I'll find a place to leave my truck for a week. So my question is, I read about a place on the south rim U can go, but U have to pay to enter this tribes land. Any help would be greatly appreciate. Side note Roger will on a 06klr650 & I on a 05klr650.

Not sure about Point Sublime, but I've made several trips to North Rim and like it far more than the South Rim.....and there are "no" crowds. You might want to check my blog entries for the area - be sure to click on each picture to open it full size, then click again to continue reading - http://gogittum.com/blog/?cat=145 - http://gogittum.com/blog/?cat=146 - http://gogittum.com/blog/?cat=148 This trip was fantastic and I'd recommend it to anyone.......but don't try to take a low slung car in there. 4WD isn't necessary, but moderate clearance is - any pickup or SUV - or especially a bike. That would be a great ride.

I had come west from Page, AZ and camped at Kanab, UT. Nice place, nice folks.

My favorite stop on the whole trip was The Wave, but go online to check it out 1st - permits are limited and it can be very difficult to get one. Here's The Wave - again, click on each picture to open it full size, then again to continue reading. http://gogittum.com/blog/?cat=144 This was the hike of a lifetime. There are several other side trips listed on left side of blog.................Lars.
