Deal In The Works

Well the Dealer looked at my M95 last night and there apraiser said they would give me $7,500 for her. Meh to me she is worth more but according to Cycletrader it is a fair price since she has a lot of miles. On the other end they will sell me a new KLR for 5k again seems like a fair price. I'll talk to my banker today and see if we can work something out.

If I decide to do this I still have one decision left...

I love the "new" green but there just isn't much of it on the bike. If it had more then just the fairing it would be the hands down winner.

It's just the cheapo in me, but I'd check around before tossing your name on a new bike. I thought the new 08's were going for less than that, typically, and if you're not getting what you want out of your bike, consider Craigslist or even eBay and sell it outright.

With the cash in your hand, you can buy your new KLR anywhere you want, and get the best bang for your buck.

But, I'm cheap..

It is kind of odd what they did with the green. Compare the colors and you'll see that the green model uses black in the places where the other colors use red or blue. Like the fenders and side panels. The tank fairing is also silver vs black. I prefer the looks of the green also. I wonder if someone will ever create a fairing reduction kit to go back to pre08 styling! That would be cool.

Then there would be no green on the bike, accept on the sticker on the side cover.
