New to riding

Hey all,

I am soon to be in the market for a new motorcycle, and found a good buy on one locally: 2007 KLR 650 Black and Silver - $3850 (4400 highway miles, never offroad), I've heard very good things about these from reviews and whatnot. I also like the new ninja 250, and assorted cruisers like the 883 sportster and honda magna. I'm just looking for some input and pros and cons.

Thanks

The KLR will do anything you throw at it. I love to take my bike to do errands. But how often have you seen someone ride by on a SPortster or ninja with 2 bags of rock salt strapped on the back. lol

Talking

I had a Harley and they day I sold it I bought the KLR. I have loved every minute of it. There are times that I miss the hard hitting torque of my Fatty(there is nothing like banging 3rd WFO and getting crossed up sidewaze style) but then again I couldn't wheelie on it like I can the KLR. lol

Hehehe..put you a Jardine on it, or any good exhaust for that matter, and at least you'll have that hard hitting sound and some serious release of torque and power that is hiding just waiting to get out.

2008 DL650 VStrom Yellow and Black
Previous ride was a 2007 KLR Black/Silver, I miss it..
Looking to get back into KLR's sometime soon.

I do agree with that, when I switched the pipe and rejetted the carb I noticed a huge difference. I also plan on dropping a tooth as I never use the 60-80mph range anyways.
