KLR Facebook?

Is anyone else on Facebook KLR groups?

I'm surprised at the reduction in postings to the traditional web groups and wonder if people are switching to Facebook?

How long did you last on FB?

I'm feeling like bailing from FB because there's an endless repetition of the same questions and posts about things people have bolted onto their bike. No technical of an substantial degree and often people can't/won't provide even the basic information so they can be helped.

Posts of less than a sentence don't make for much useful reading..

Lol, well, you know I'm on there .

I agree with you on the technical stuff on Facebook groups, the same questions being asked over and over. The Facebook pages are very dynamic, but the very nature of the layout means that info gets buried very quickly with new posts.

Tons of activity on the Facebook pages though, and a fair bit of camaraderie (plus some trolls of course!). I've made a few friends on there that started out as folks just having a common interest (KLR's).

I like both formats myself, regular forum and Facebook groups.

I have No Idea about Facebook, haven't been there. Yet. Probably Won't.
Thanks for the 'early warning', Normk.

But , I will say, "Why would anybody waste as much time as I have today?",(Bored, home alone, at the shop.).
Reading 'KLR650 Only Thread' on AVDrider?" No Separation of topics!
Endless stream of blah, blah, blah!!!!! I keep hoping I'll find a reason (topic) to become a 'member'. I've been reading from Last Page- backwards, 22 pages of blah, blah, almost a month back now 11-27-14, blah, blah!

Great pictures tho, from around the world!
I just 'clicked' X!

Stew's right. FB is useless as an sort of repository for information simply due to its nature.

It's kind of fun to watch and visit. I spend most of my time like this:

I'm usually wearing shorts, a t-shirt, and flip-flops, though.

I follow the KLR pages on Facebook - but I don't think I've ever posted anything on them...

Oh wait! I did once! I shared a pic, and it became the cover photo for a week or two!

I mainly follow the groups on Facebook to check out the pics that people share. If I'm looking for conversation or KLR camaraderie, I come to this message board. I signed up for the "other" KLR message board, and I haven't been there for over a year - too much junior high-esque drama!

I also follow "Dual Sport Delinquents" on Facebook, and a couple other motorcycling pages.

Can't do facebook. All my old girlfriends would be posting and crying for me to come back to them! It's been a real burden in my life. Wish there was more of me because I really feel sorry for those girls.
