I'm 6'6". What can I do to make the KLR fit me better?

Overall, this bike works well with my height. There are a couple of problems, though. The biggest one is that there isn't enough space between the seat and pegs for my long legs. Even when I'm sitting back in the passenger seat, I feel like I need more room. The other problem is that there isn't enough space between the pegs and the foot controls for my size 14 feet. So, is there any way to 1) move the pegs forward and down so I can stretch out more, and 2) put more space between the pegs and the controls?

I intend to do every possible mod to make this an even more tall-friendly bike. I just need to know what all the possible mods are. I know I can get handlebar risers, relocate the footpegs...what else can I do?

I'm 6'4" and so I know a little about how you feel.

Here is an idea and I'm sure you will get more from other riders:

Get the bar risers. Get offset footpegs and longer shifter. And for the real comfort, get the Highway Bars (or better yet, the combo unit). You can find them here: http://www.tpimotorcycleparts.com/ then Grips/Handlebars, Footpegs/Shifter, and Tank/Body Protection.

Oh, and since you are so tall, do this to help your offroading: Lift your bike an 1" with rear raising links and Chevy V8 valve springs for the front (shorten spacers in forks to create a total lift of 1.25 in.).

Good Riding.......

Keep Loving Rides!

6'4", I used a one inch raising link on the rear, added air to the front forks (10psi), and am using Renthal bars for extra height. As for space between the pegs and the gear shifter, I'm still working on that one.
