I typically run street pressures when I'm on the street, and if I do a bunch of off road riding, I'll air them down to around 20psi.. I treat all tires the same, also.. I run 34f and 36r when street riding..
Kawi's recommended pressures are compromise pressures. In reality, they kinda suck for everything. Too high for off road stuff, and too low to keep the heat out of the tires when running on the road, resulting in faster tire wear.
That's my opinion.. It's based on years of riding and other people's feelings, but I'm sure someone will feel I'm not correct..
My suggestion is that you try some different pressures and see what you and the bike like..
