Awareness

I have posted a comment to a story recently run in our local fishwrap. Help me out here. I know I'll get some negative feedback from the "pirates".
Hope you can link to this. I posted under "Aware Rider".

Gray-haired riders donít get that way from pure luck.

I've grown tired of "awareness" campaigns, it's pointless. The only thing a motorcycle rider can do is worry about themselves. The only thing "awareness" campaigns manage to do is try to push the responsibility on to the non riding public. You cannot and will not control the non riding public. Most of these people have the same attitude... "Riders know the risk, it's their problem". You'll never... never... never change anyone.

Wanderer,
I agree with your reply 100 percent. I was just making nice on the awareness campaign here. Can't hurt. I hope I made the point that WE are responsible for our own safety.
