Warranties are all about the level of a use a product will get during that warranty period. Unless it's a factory defect, not much will go wrong with any bike till about 5,000 miles when brakes start to wear, oil changes are past due, air filter may be dirty, tires show wear, etc etc. Even then, it's all general wear stuff not even covered under warranties. The DOO is probably covered, but it would have to be broke at the time and they'll swap it with the same part unless you buy the upgrade part and hope they'll agree to put it in which leaves them liable for a non factory part. Warranties don't cover damage from drops or off road damage either.
I haven't heard much go wrong with these bikes within warranty coverage. Mine had no issues within warranty. It's just now wearing out the sprockets and chain which I'm about to replace and that's not a warranty thing either.
Also, make sure to read the warranty exclusions because it doesn't cover everything.
