Seat swap

I have looked on the forum, and the other one, but I couldn't get a clear answer. All the seats interchangeable between years?
I have a 88 and I want to put a newer seat on it.

Yup, they are interchangeable. The only difference to my knowledge is that the gen 2 seat pan has a small slotted bracket to accept a T shaped tab on the tank. I believe the gen 2 seat will still bolt up fine, but if the bracket bothered you, you could always remove it.

I'm looking for a softer seat and the '09 is shaped well but harder than gen 1.

Mine's in perfect shape if a trade is your goal. A little wear is fine but I won't take
a ripped butt-cushion. (Perfect other than some wear here also.)

Send a PM if you are looking for a gen 2 saddle. My bony butt needs something to
sink into. lol
My brudder in law has an '07 but likes his seat. I do too.

Thanks, but you might not want this one. The cover isn't ripped, but the bike is the 1988 model so its old, oh and its Smurf blue.
