Tank Guards and sump guard

Hi Folks
Any one like to comment on the combo package from KLR650.com

I just got a 2000 with 6500 Kilometers and I think this would be a good place to start by adding these. Just not sure if they are the best ones.

Thanks
Eric

Klr650.com and TPImotorcycleparts.com carry the studebaker guards. These are the ones I have and am very happy with them. I heard the ones from happy-trail.com are weaker and have cracked/ cheap metal and or poor welds.

Thanks Paul
I just looked at TPImotorcycleparts.com and they have what appear to be a nice package.
Highway Bars with Water Pump and Gas Tank Nerf Bar Combo
I would rather get everything in one shipment and I like the look of their Engine Skid Plate too.
any comments?

Eric

Eric, You might as well get the corresponding aluminum skidplate that goes with the studebaker tank nerf bar combo because I had the moose skid plate and had to modify the lower part of the tank nerf bar combo as it was a a 1/2 in too low. Nothing that my grinder couldn't take care of in quick fashion though. Also get rid of the stock oil drain plug as it sticks out below the skid plate. Get the low profile magnetic one from dual-star.com or ebay. I got mine from ebay. I hit the drain plug once getting over a high rock.

OK
So it looks like I need to be careful with fitting more than one item.

Thanks for the help Paul I will keep you posted when I have made my list of must haves .
