KLRCary - Cary Aspy involed in fatal accident

This was just posted at another forum this morning. I thought you all should know.

"Cary Aspy was involved in a fatal motorcycle accident Monday evening while on his way home from a weekend riding trip to Tennessee. His Kawasaki KLR650 was a source of pride and was used to develop many aftermarket performance enhancing products for other owners in recent years. Cary had worked for Ehlerding Cycle for 13 years before coming to Schnitz Racing in August of 1992 as the service manager, cylinder head specialist, and engine builder. He was also a neighbor to the Schnitz family for 27 years. Cary was happy to offer any advice and answer questions in detail for anyone who asked. He will be truly missed.

Funeral arrangements and information will be posted shortly."

He was a great contributor on many forums. Never had the pleasure to meet him, but read a lot of his posts. This is terrible news. My thoughts, and prayers go out to his family, and friends.

Very sad, I had the pleasure to meet him a few times, he knew the KLR very well and he will be missed by the KLR owners world wide.

Today is the first day of the rest of your life.

I just ordered my memorial stickers on the Schnitz Racing web site. Just fill in the amount you want to donate and click the box above the order line. If just half the people on all the KLR forums throw in $20 bucks or more the St. Joseph School would see a very large donation in memory of Cary. That's about the only thing the KLR community can actually do to express our gratitude for his life and sadness at his passing. I'm not a sticker guy but that one will be on my bike when it arrives.

Heard so many people say great things about him. Like so many others I was touched by him without knowing him. God Speed and pop a wheelie on cloud nine for us Cary! :-)
