no spark

i got a gen 1 klr driveing down the steeet cut out on me "put in new stater got spark then none , this thing is so hafe ass backworkds "I love the bike "new cdi" some thing is jumpinp my cdi

We may have some redundant posting here.

With Generation 1; ignition switch ON, rotor rotating, with adequate ALTERNATING CURRENT from the stator exciter coils, a pulse from the pickup coil, a functional CDI and ignition coil, you'll get spark.
