Looking for Tire Advise

i just bought a 200 KLR and the tires are about to rot off of the bike. I think I am about 60% road rider and the rest will be some gravel roads and cow trailing. Anybody have any good advise on what tires to buy? One of the sites talked about Dunlop 606's and Continental TKC 80's?

Kenda 270's. Good all around tire, handles most conditions well. Cheap, about 100 a set, and will last about 5-6k miles if you ride like me.

my two cents anyway.

Ditto the Kenda's.

tire options

I looked at the Kenda's today. they're pretty sweet, have a lot of tread and all. I'm running a Mefo front tire which sells for about ten bucks less than you can buy a set of Kenda's for.

Great thing about the Mefo is that it'll outlast the Kenda by nearly twice the mileage. It does not have the big lugs some tires have, but it balances very well and does fine on gravel and slab.

Best Tire

I like the Mefo Explorer 99. They are expensive but last so long they are worth it. That is the only tire I have used after the Dunlop first set.

Ya Mefo's are sweet but I just can't justify the cost.
