Tire recommendations 2004 KLR650

Just bought a new (used) 2004 KLR650 last night and it badly needs tires. I have a dirt bike, so most of my riding will be on the road, but I wouldn't mind if the tires had a little *something* for the occasional fire roads or gravel.

I'm new to the KLR so I would welcome suggestions.

I ride my KLR's mostly offroad so my preferred tires are Dunlop 606 rears and Pirelli MT21 fronts.

as far as more road biased choices go, I've liked the Michelin T63's and Conti TKC80's

More road? I'd try Heidenau K60's or I've wanted to try the Mitas E07's

....but tire threads are like oil threads so you'll get lots of opinions.....bud sadly, no consensus! LOL

You never gave everyone time to get in a knock down tire fight!

But.. You made a good choice. I have a set of those waiting to be installed.

Haha, I thought of that but my tires are bald and I didn't want to wait very long. This gives me the confirmation I need.

Now for a thread about mufflers...
