New to me red 08 in the garage.

Picked it up Sunday the 4th, just under 8k on the clock with lots of Farkles including the doohicky thingy installed. I couldn't figure out how to post pic(nephew wasn't around) sorry. I might try to make the tech day up in Yuba City to meet some of you all.

That would be a "Racin' Red '08" the fastest you know. Is that an SL 350 in your avatar?

Gray-haired riders donít get that way from pure luck.

I believe its a well known scientific fact the the blue ones are the fastest!

Of course, with a KLR650, fast is a relative term...

Thanks

I rode it up to my buddies property in the gold country Sunday and got dirty on his 30 acres, found the limits of rear wheel traction and ability to keep from sinking in the soft stuff with my butt on it. Had to slide backwards downhill for about 30 feet until I could work the bike heading downhill again. Pretty proud of myself for not dropping it. It's definitely not like my 350 Yamaha big wheel, that thing floats over everything, it's almost unstoppable, slow but unstoppable.

Greenies are the fastest. Team Kawasaki is Green as well as the Green starting flag.

Off subject: Speaking of racing. A F800GS is not as fast as I thought it would be. Faster than my KLR though I am going to guess a 705 Stage2 equipped KLR might hold its own. The F800GS is a nice $10,000+ motorcycle and sounds real good.

Red KLR

After today, I'm so glad I went with the '09 Red KLR with the black accents! If you're in Arizona, you probably know why.
