Didn't know they did...not one on my 2009.

Edit to add: In light of comments below, it appears at least possible that there is some sort of catalytic equipment that does not necessarily identify itself.

This is a mysterious question.

The original 2008 factory manual alludes to the existence of catalytic converter.

The 2008 saw the introduction of an air injection system into the exaust.

The catalytic converter may be some sort of coating on the walls of the muffler.

I shot this video that seems to show something on the walls of the muffler toward what would be the front end of the muffler. Could be a cat, could be just a normal muffler construction, could be there is a coating on the normal muffler structure.

I have similarly high-quality videos that show the Loch Ness monster, too.

I have two Gen 2 mufflers that are taking up too much room. I should cut one apart, specifically looking for a catalytic converter but it's messy and I'm lazy.

They were in the manual earlier but didn't show up in the flesh until mid 2010

Well, then, I will buy a boat rather than go cutting the things up, as I have two ready anchors.

from "elsewhere";

It wasn't 2008. I've personally cut open several 2008's and I know another who tore open a few 09's and not until mid 2010 did he start finding cats. Don't believe kawi marketing...right up there with 6sp tranny and TPS available on the then new gen2's
