Thumbs up Assistance List

Looks to be a good idea for offering and receiving Roadside Assistance when travelling. Haven't checked it out that deeply myself but have registered. Offers a specific category for the KLR.

Certainly, a "grass roots" assistance scheme has its benefits! I support the concept and appreciate the notification.

Otherwise, an AMA (American Motorcyclist Association) membership has an excellent roadside assistance program (from which I have benefitted), without additional dues charged; some insurances provide similar service.

Bottom line: The approaches are not mutually exclusive; each may have its optimum uses in different situations.

Regular participating members can call me and my pickup truck
in NW indyanna/ SW Mish-again.
I'll drag a rider to a shop or here and give up the couch.
Safety for my fam is assured and we needn't worry about bringing in a semi-stranger.

I've always had an open door policy for fellow riders. I've had several people i've meet on different forums look me up for help of just to stop and say hi. Many have stayed over night and a few stayed a day or 2 so I could show them around the Texas Hill Country.
