Arh...whistle.

I posted about this a while ago. My 08 makes a weird whistling noise. It usually happens when I am decelerating (or that is when I can hear it). It is not the gas cap vent. I don't think it is brake related as it does not change when I press on the front brake harder. Since I put on the Acerbis fender it seems worse...happens around 25-30 mph now sometimes. It's driving me nuts. The only thing I can think is that something is catching wind weird and making it whistle. Anyone else seen this? I'm almost frustrated enough to take it to the dealership, but they'll manage to brake a few spokes looking for the whistle and then charge me 150.

I thought I was hearing things.. my 09 does it too. On long rides I wear ear plugs so only notice it on in town jaunts. I think it only does it on braking, though. I have been suspecting those cool looking "petal" brake rotors Kawi uses these days? This weekend I will make it a point to see if it does it from decelerating w/o brakes on?

LJ-

Mine doesn't whistle.
Anything on the Motechs that could cause it?

Either the whistling stopped, I got used to it, or I gotta quit drinking. I forgot I even posted this.

Ever hear diesel Semis shifting through gears? Loud whistling when off the throttle, it could be the air sucking into the carb. Possibly restricted, especially downshifting. Maybe?

I hear ya. Or I can't hear anything... that bothers me. But sometimes I do hear strange things that I wonder about, but usually I'm too busy looking out for everything that could get me.
