Need Valve Shims?/Got Valve Shims?

I've gone thru past threads on the topic and have checked out sources for valve shims. I'm not trying to start a shim swap bank, but before I order what I need I'll ask all and sundry:

Anybody have two 265 and/or two 245 shims laying around that they'd like to send me?

Also, I now have two 270 and two 255 shims that I would be happy to mail gratis to anyone in need of those specific thicknesses.

(Please, only request them if you have need of them now, I'll keep them on hand for potential future requests.)

pm for address details.

Thanks,
Greg

hey this is a good idea. shim swap. i just road 30 minutes in the freezing cold to pick up some shims after calling to confirm the stealership had them. guess what. i got there and ... they dont have them. i was willing to drive 30 mins and pay ...get this $18 CDN ea to support the local economy. ask me what i think now. i think ill just order a kit and cut out the stealership all together. i should have spare 250 and spare 260 when i am done, but i have a second bike to do too.

I was just about to comment when I saw you post.. Yes, the BMW shims are exactly the same as the KLR shims and usually cheaper.

These are shims for the BMW 3-4 cylinder 2 valve engines (2 valve K-bike)..

Beemer & KLR shims are the same size. Needed a shim for my KLR & went to my Kawi dealer & he traded me shims, no charge.

Doesn't anyone sell the full kits anymore? Used to get a kit for bikes with 4 or 5 of every size...
