TIRES! Again. Need new tires again...

I've used Kenda K761's, my last set is Shindo D244's. Front tire wore out weirder than ever. The big lugs in the center are about 1/8" taller than all of the rest of the lugs. I am going to street tires now, and give them a shot. I live on a dirt road, that's about all of the off roading I've been doing. The bike just turned 14K miles, and I am happy to say that it
no longer consumes oil, I have been keeping the RPM's below 5k. It's a 2013 I bought new in April of 2015.

Help me pick some street tires please, there are way too many choices, and I have always hated shopping! F O T

Tires

I've had good luck with Mitas tires. don't know their line for street tires, but my E-07's wore well. I'm currently running a set of 50/50 Heidenau tires, and like them both on, and off road.

All of those choices look good, a little too pricey for this poor boy. Gives me something to think about, I guess you get what you pay for. How many miles do you get out of those tires on your KLR?

I was very impressed with my Pirelli Scorpion Trail tyres. Pretty much a 95% street tyre.

Handled well on the street and much quieter than a road/trail too.

I would get another set of the Kenda 761's. Best bang for the buck and perfect for your use. For me they outlast any other tire I've tried.

My Kaw Barn - 2004 KLR, 2006 Concours (sold), 1997 Bayou 400.

After having issues with tires, I stopped by the local shop and talked to one of the techs. He said most common replacement on KLR was Shinko 705 for them and most seemed happy with them.
I tried a set and really like the pavement performance and pleasantly surprised by off pavement performance.
Will probably buy again when these wear out.

I've ran a set of the Shinko 705's. Generally I was pleased with the tire. The front took forever to wear out. Overall they are similar to the Kenda 761's except I found the Kendas lasted longer.

What tire pressures are you all running? My KLR runs about 750 lbs loaded while riding.
