Is it always a race?

I'm talking about sport fags!! Really makes me laugh when these guys spot me coming up behind or beside them and they take off just enough to keep me from getting near them or they take off like it's a race. Now I remember why I didn't want another sport bike, most sport riders are just a bunch of small dicks! I typically just laugh because I know they are such dorks to even think I would consider my KLR650 any competition. It just shows their small cock mentality. It gives me a good laugh and they are so predictable that I enjoy messing with them just to prove the theory over and over again.

Sad part is on a twisty without straights where they can wind it out to the 10 redline.. the KLR will make them crap their depends.. cause it will corner with the best of bikes on a twisty..

I am not a dork or a fag and i do not have a small dick mentality. I do ride a GSXR 1000 and a Hayabusa. Maybe the sport bike rider dose'nt want a klr in front of him because it will be in his way. I have had klrs since 1983. I am on my eighth one so I know what it will do and what it is .And what it was built for it does very well. Beating up on a klr is like going to a rest home and beating on old people. I ride my klr the most it is my every day bike and i do a lot of dirt roads and it is a great adventure bike. If you don't like the sport bike people. Stay away from us. And i have met some real pricks on klrs. And on sport bikes to. And any one that thinks a klr can keep up with a sport bike (not dirt road) might be on crack.

If the shoe doesn't fit, don't try and wear it. I don't know why you get all defensive if you aren't part of the crowd I'm talking about. Heck, you aren't even in the same state.

The sport bike kids look at me very funny when I ride thru town with my helmet and jacket on and not flip flops and shorts and tank tops, but when I get to the city limits I can keep going and not have to turn around. It has always bothered me that these kids have great bikes that would love the twistys but never leave town. Oh well the price of being cool. Then again I've met on the road some very respectful and friendly sport bike riders.

The Harley fags are out in full force also! One almost killed himself to get away from me by going off the right side of the pavement in the road dust to pass 5 cars going 55 in a 35. What an azzhat! All because he couldn't stand a KLR being near him. I just got back from a ride where a Harley went by me going at least 50 in a 30, I pull up in the lane next to him at the light he couldn't wait to arrive at and when it went green he took off like he's something and when he realized I couldn't give any less of a F and was probably laughing at him I could see he slowed to the speed limit again because he was pacing the cars beside him. LMAO! Takes all kinds!

One of these times I suspect an accident will happen and I'll be the first to stop and tell the police that it was all because the guy either couldn't handle his hog being near a KLR or just had to prove his 130hp sport bike was faster. I'm sure his family and friends will appreciate the guy maintaining his "Honor" all the way to his death.

I ride the crap out of my klr, but it will not keep up with a good rider on a sportbike in the twisties. As much as I hate to admit it. I have a freind, also an ex roadracer as am I,
and a damn good off road rider, I just got frustrated chasing him, me on my 08 klr and him on his vfr.

Yeah I completely agree, the only thing a KLR will beat when it comes to a sport bike is the rider. Even then, the sporty must be a really really crappy rider! I had a little Ninja 500 for awhile and even that sucker would decimate the KLR.

Since this thread is talking about the way owner operators of certain brands of bikes react to we KLR owner operators I'll put my two cents in the mix.

I pay no attention at all to Harley's. I am far too cool on my HUMVEE with all my add on gadgets to even look at them or care if they speed up, wave, or fall down for that matter. My 06 has such an international flair about it that I figure it is in a class only with other dual sport motorcycles. So if I may be excused for being candid, those guys can kiss my ass.
