Brand new bike on day one and I have to cut up the side stand?

I’m buying a brand new Kayla are spending a lot of money on it and I just read last night that these things fall over because the side stand is too long what the hell? So I seriously need to put the motorcycle on my left on day one and cut an inch off of the side stand is that what I’m reading? It’s very discouraging.

No you don't have to cut it off, just don't fall over. :-) get on like you are mounting a horse. Seriously. I am cutting mine because I'm a dork and dropped it. Don't be like me.

Itís not mandatory. The bike is fine with the stand the way it is. I shortened mine because I always make my vehicles suit me the way I want them.

I’m going to crank the rear end up as high and as stiff as it will go and go from there. I’m a heavy guy. It needs to be on 5 anyway.

Mine is on 5 and it does exactly squat to the noticeable height of the bike IMHO. I'm going to cut my stand down till it will let the left hand grip just kiss the pavement. That way, if it falls, it won't fall very far. :-)

Got the new bike! It’s unbelievable! Put it on my lift and proceeded to cut the kickstand. About 1 inch above the foot. A cheap 5/8 spark plug socket fits nicely inside the tube. So I took 3/4 inch out and used the socket inside the tube. Rotated foot level and put match marks on it. Welded it at my buddy’s house and couple flat black paint swipes and WA LA! Fixed. I have pics but can’t post yet.
