Still looking

Went to look at two bikes today, an 08 and an 06. The 06 was so beat up, I didnít even test ride it. The 08, had a nice rattle can paint job on the tank, fenders, and the side covers. It would have been even better if he had removed the parts he painted from the bike. There was over spray everywhere, on the frame, engine, both rims and the petcock.
Guess Iíll keep looking.

That is a sorry state of presentation on both counts.

Maybe you should have offered $100 each for their 'parts bikes'!

I actually found and purchased a 2008 blue KLR. It looks good and runs strong. It already has all the mods I would have done, except he doesnít know if the Doohickey has been done. Iíve ordered everything I need to get it done, if needed, if not, Iím more than happy to help out someone who may need it.

Our best advice to Every KLR rider is to check the engine oil level at Every available opportunity. Takes 10 - 30 seconds, hot vs cold.

Other than that, have you read this yet? https://www.klrforum.com/introductio...kes-avoid.html

I'm looking too and have noticed many more 2008's and 2009's than other years. Is this due to the high numbers produced in those years or the perception or reality that they are oil burners?
