Dilemma! Yet another Gen 1! Maybe...

Ugh! I own a great Gen 1. Love it. It’s here in Florida with me.

Thought I’d buy an “extra” to keep out in California for my routine visits. So I bought a real beaut in September. Rode it on the Annual Arizona Ride recently and plan to ride it on a 5-day Baja loop next month.

All good so far, right?

A friend just calls and says his friend has a Gen 1 for sale. Only 7k miles on the ODO.

“Nope! No way!” I yelled into the phone. “No more KLRs!”

Then he adds, “He wants $800 for it.”

Awww, come on! This is cruel and unusual punishment. My wife is not amused.

Anyhow, I looked at the photos and called the seller. All legit.

So...how many Gen 1s is too many?

Aaaaaaaaaaarrrrrrrrggggggggghhhhhhhh!!!!!

What did I tell you when you bought that one back in September?

C'mon, you remember.

You can share; it's what they do in the program.

Oh, and my answer is that if you live in two places and have two KLRs, you don't have an extra KLR. Everybody needs an extra KLR. Mine will be a cherry Tengai...

Tricky game ... using that logic, at one point I ended up with 7 in the garage.

At least it kept me out of the bars.

If I could find a place to store my KLR in TN/NC, I would probably keep it. To have the DRZ, KLR and Tenere in the same place is silly.

The wife has her versys and DRZ as well, I guess I need a place down there. Lol
