A big thank you!
As Paper (aka Dan, who hooked me up with my butt pad and a bunch of great info) alerted me, I have passed 1000 posts.
I started thinking about it, and rather than further hijack the post of someone trying to sell their bike...well, here's what I was thinking. I've had my KLR for about 500 days. A little less. That works out to two posts a day. A lot for a guy who doesn't know a hell of a lot. So, I started thinking. There are guys who know a little and post a lot. Guys who know a LOT and post little. And thankfully some who do both.
1000 posts doesn't really mean all that much to me. But I thought it a fitting time for a big freaking thank you. SLO - who gave up a whole day to help me on my bike. Mark and Tim, who brought me into this world and have helped me work on my bike with patience and humor. Hell, Dave let me invite us to his house. And was gracious about it. And all y'all I haven't met who have provided valuable info or a good laugh or whatever (you know who you are and I don't want to forget anyone...there are far too many)...thank you all.
There's a reason I have one thousand posts and less than 10K miles on my bike. Two actually, one, I am too busy too ride as much as I'd like. But more importantly, y'all are good folks and I appreciate it. I owned bikes and loved bikes before I got my KLR, but I am beginning to understand and appreciate them thanks to you.
