Glue, sealer, whatever

Searched the forum unsuccessfully about this unusual question.

While the subframe is off I noticed the airbox duct was loose, the sealer or glue was not doing its job. This can let dust/dirt in after the air cleaner and before the carburetor.

What sealer/glue would be good to fasten/seal the rubber duct to the plastic airbox?

It not a flat fit or butt joint is it? I dont remember what it looks like. this stuff will stick to rubber.

Or you can go with 3m Super Strengh Adhesive (takes a day or two to set.)

Thanks Joe. Its a double seam fit with the rubber duct in and out of the plastic airbox.

I just thought that the sealer needs to be gasoline resistant.

Yeah I just looked at a late model cuz it was just sitting there. Pull the duct out, run a bead of weather strip glue in the groove and re-install.

Thanks Joe. If that don't seal it, nothing will.
