Never thought it would happen to me!

Well, I was a non believer... But sure enough, after doubting other posters, low and behold, it was gone! I put the bike up on the rack and started to look around a little. I looked at the chain and saw that one of the links didn't look right. Could it be? was it gone? Yes! My masterlink was missing...

I have a 20% off coupon for Cyclegear and wasn't sure what I should use it for. Looks like it's going to be used for a chain reveting tool! Anyone know of a good one? Maybe Motion Pro?
Thanks

It's certainly a possibility, but highly unlikely. I'm almost positive that I double, triple checked it once I put it on. I just got back from a 90 mile ride, too! Could've ended badly... I got lucky.

Your rivetor? You have one? what kind is it and/or what kind would you suggest? I did have an extra clip link handy and I'm checking it after every ride until I get a rivetor
Thanks, Paulo.

I have the motion pro and the one from http://www.mikesxs.net/products-7.html?category_id=7.1 and you can also use the $20 chain press tool and a ball bearing.

I've been safety wiring the clips and using red RTV, either should be good enough but doing both should be completely fail safe.

Only had a few clips come off over the years, but that's a few too many.
