Just around the corner!!

When the Chicago Motorcycle Show arrives (today through the weekend) I actually feel like I see the light at the end of the tunnel, as far as winter.

I know I've still got at least another month before the roads aren't white with salt, but at least I have hope..

Other than snowmobile, I haven't ridden anything since mid November when we go the first snow and dumping of salt on the roads. A week later, the snow was gone, but the roads were slippery with so much salt dumped on them...

I rode the VFR about a mile one afternoon because I couldn't hold back, and then rewashed it and put it away. It's at Double A's house and he's kind enough to supply me with a heated garage when needed.

I need to get the VFR up to another local shop to have him go through the bike. All new fluids, air and oil filter, and an inspection by a mechanic that's worked on them for a long time will make me feel better for that first ride this spring..

Spring.. It's coming!!!

As ya know, we'll get snowed again. Never seen a March without snow.
At least the Thursday rain and Friday nite downpour cleaned up the streets
real nice !! The riding has been exceptional but a bit cool (low 50's) this
side of the Indyanna border. Everyone's been out it seems. Cabin fever.
Then they'll all park 'em until May. LOL ('Cept you n' me and a few HD guys.)

I'm the only one riding to work every day now. Buncha riders where I work
but not a single one in the lot as of yet besides one lonely black KLR.

They are talking at least. "I got out for a rip today" "Rode to the coffee house",etc.
The dudes haven't pressed their rides into daily service yet tho. Wussies.

Yeah, it'll snow.. Always seem to get one in late March or early April... Heavy, wet, and not around for long.. I'd almost welcome a good 6-8" snow just to get the sled out one last time for the year..

Early riding??

Here in New Hampshire I suppose it's about the same. Chance of snow until early April, Salt, cool days (cooler mornings..30's) and just plain drab scenery.

I did break my own rule and pulled the cover off the Wing and did about 50 miles last Thursday. ( High 40's to low 50's )

Put the Gerbings jacket on but didn't power it up. Even took off the heavy gloves and replaced them with lighter ones.

Then guess what? Heavy rain all weekend. At least it washed salt off streets and roads.

Lower N.H. predicted high 40's for Tuesday on. May even get the NX250 out of shed.

We actually had little drops of water falling from the sky yesterday, not snow..I really like those little drops of water. It turned to snow over night, but its a sure sign spring is coming. Moonshines coming its gotta be spring soon..

You start with a full bag of luck and an empty bag of experience. Hopefully you fill the bag of experience before you empty the bag of luck.
