Is the KLR spose to be alittle un easy? When i ride it feels like it wouldn't take much at all to put it into a wobble, are klrs like this or is there some thing that might be causing this? I thought maybe my tires i am running D606, or maybe there not balanced right? Thanks guys

They can be a bit uneasy in the front, as they are a bit light in the front. I've never had any sort of wobble happen on mine, though.

A wobble is actually the tire bouncing back and forth very rapidly. If it progresses, it becomes the dreaded tank slapper or death wobble.

Try lowering your pressure in the front by a couple pounds and see if the feeling improves.

A bit more weight on the front end might help, too, though that's hard to accomplish. You look like you are pretty slim, so have more barbeque. It worked for me....8^)

yeah i will give that a try, as the weight goes i eat enough for three grown men and i still cant get above 145 LBS. Thanks for the help Tom

Check the steering stem bearings to be sure they are snug. Here's how to check them.
Also check to make sure your forks are not it the shipping position (sticking up about 3" above the top triple clamp). Believe it or not some bikes have been operated that way for years.

A note to think about you said your running a 606 i find that full nobs will follow the roughness of the pavement giving that type of feeling i agree with tom drop air see if that helps. I have balanced my front that has help with some of the other vibes i have felt. so fare no Moor tire cupping going on either

up grade's 2008 green,
Cee Baily tinted wind shield, studibaker skid plate, one inch length added to shifter, highway pegs, steel pegs,Jardine pipe, trunk, head light rock gard, , 12 volt power outlet, 16 tooth front sprocket, Progressive front springs, studibaker master cylender guard, PVC mod,Doo Hickey, one wheel offroad trailer, night vision ammo cans for side bags my oun tank gards.

Its at all speeds, It doesn't actually wobble it just feels alittle shaky and that it could go into a wobble. I let it down to 25lbs should i go lower?

Since switching to a full knobby I developed a "pre-wobble". It
doesn't go into one, but the rock-steady high speed feeling isn't there anymore.
It feels like it wants to go into a slapper anytime over 80 or so but doesn't. This
is on a second generation, stock rear tire, tightest preload, knobby front with 35 psi.
It calms down when I get into a tuck behind the glass and bring my knees behind the fairing.
This alone will have me putting on the stock front tire sooner than later.

Are you sure you’re not just feeling the wind? When I first road mine (now going on 4th year) I noticed the wind seemed to really effect it. Now I barely notice it. You just kinda ride and sway through it.

As for tires, I went with the Continentals 70 on 30 off road since any of my off roads are seasonals. Handle great in the corners and smooth on the roads.

I think its just the way the bike and tire combo ride, i am used to HD and i have also ridin BMW and Moto Guzi so this could be just a different feel.
