Opinions on this 06 please

I went and looked at an red 06 with 9300km tonite. Current owner has put 2300km on in the last year and half.

Bike has been well used, every piece of plastic has wear and the tank has a couple dents. Broken signal up front and zip ties holding on several pieces of plastic. Now the good....Doohickey done (eagle), very heavy skid plate, solid metal hand guards, solid plastic carry case mounted on the rear, sprocket changed (small one... not sure what it was changed to?), Mefo tires (any info on these??) new front brakes, back brakes included not installed, all original parts included, manuals and original paperwork included.

Asking $4300, what does everyone think?

I think that's a lot of money, even if those are Canadian dollars.

That kind of money could buy a low mileage, cherry bike.

Even so, 9300 Km is not a lot on a four year old bike, and yet it sounds rather trashed and thrashed.

I'd pass on this one.

There was an '06 on eBay that looked like new and I am guessing less than $4000 would have bought it.

Sounds like 9300 km. of abuse. I think you may have answered your own question. The extras don't add much value.

You can find better for the same or less.

What is your location?

Seems like the last chick in the bar. Don't drink before going to look at it. In other words, pass.

And I'm from San Diego where 'chick' is considered PC. Just saying.

Thumbs up

Sounds like it has been ridden hard and put up wet. Be patient, there are better deals out there.

2009's are listed at $5,600 and my friend just bought one for $5,000. You may even be able to beat that. They are knocking nearly $1,000 off now. $4,600+ for a brand new bike of a few hundred less for an 06, uh I know what I would do.
