I got it a 2008 klr. And it's green.

Well I did it I went and looked at another today and it's mine. After all the trouble trying to get the klr its finally mine. Last night after the 09 was sold out from under me I got back on craigslist and saw a new post for an 08 klr with 3000 miles. Well I went and looked at it and it's mine woohoo. It came with a tank bag that is really cool it's form fitting to the tank. And it has a bag on the handlebars that says klr. And it is wired for a garmen and has a holder for the garmin. It also has highway pegs. Well I love the cool green color.
Well the 60 mile ride home was very cool. After all my harleys I was not sure how the ride would be but dang it runs nice at 70. So I'm very happy.

Congrats again, man. It looks especially good if you take off some of the decals IMHO.

The back, side decals really bugged me for some reason.

Its a Walmart ATV seat cover. We don't have Walmart, so I bought one off Paper. Then I bought a Sargent and now the seat cover lives with Cheap. All in the family.

It's cool. Helps some and adds an inch in height. Not as cool as a Sargent. But much cheaper.

Welcome new dudes!
I picked up an '09 last year after many different types of bikes.

The +08's are very highway friendly. With the 16 tooth front sprocket
rpms are 4,000 at 60mph. I do alot of highway and this helps out nice!
Doesn't alter off roading stuff a bit. It's still a monster in first and second gears.

I believe the seat cover is an ATV unit. High quality and Cheap price.........

Lata, and welcome again,

well me and my son just came in, we were riding it up and down the street woohoo. and the wife was watching us lol. oh ya it has a tall windshield on it too. you guys were right about getting a used with all the good stuff on it. now i dont have to go out and spend all the money that the guy i bought it off of did. The one thing I will need to do is prob. the doo. lol. sounds kind of funny typing that but oh well lol. Man its a fun bike.
You guys dont know or well I guess you do. Ive had goldwings, ultras, vrod, softail, sportys, ricerocket, etc, and dang this thing takes the cake.
I was thinking that it was prob nice, but i'm really happy with the bike and how it rides.

We posted at the same time Dan.
(or I wuz bizzy typing and thinking anyway.) LOL

It looks alot like the cover on the batcycle.

Speaking of all in the family,
Anyone who is in need of a doo upgrade I have one free.
It's a generic but effective unit. It's the factory doo
I replaced with Eagle Mike's. Mike sent two springs and
I used one. So it's the "new, improved" factory doo with
an EM tension spring. The problem is in the spring, not the
new doo. Never overtorque the doo screw at the bottom left of
the engine! It bites into a soft casting and will/ may stick otherwise.

Pm me if'n ya need it anyone. The instructions are on Youtube.

LOL she said she is going to get some jeens on and ride it some time this week. I might be in trouble. After we started to put it into the garage she sat on it. I said well its kind of tall for ya but if you want one they make a lowering kit for it. She looks at me and says no its just fine I can touch the ground with my toes. I like that it sits up tall. I might be in trouble if she rides it. That is how I lost my first electra glide. We were down at Daytona and she wanted to test ride my eglide, and she came back and said there is no way I'm going to ride that sporty all week. Well I was stuck on the 883 for a week. That was not good.
