Speed check.

Coming home from B4's house the other day. I am super careful about speeding lately since I am out of work and a ticket would crush us. Nice that Kawi made it so the mirrors swivel down when you get above 80. Almost makes up for the oil burning.

My left one goes down at 55 and my right one at 70. Any way I can calibrate them to 80? ;-)

Calibrate to 80. Too funny.

Oh, and I did something I usually don't on the way home the other day. On a stretch of highway I knew there couldn't be cops on, I opened her up. Hit an indicated 100 before I got the skeevs from the shaking. Seemed like she might have had a little more in her, too. I was surprised.

It's funny how riding a KLR at 75 feels like you're doing a million, yet the same speed on other bikes you feel like you can get off and run along side..

I feel ok up til about 85. 90+ is not the KLR's cup of tea for SURE.

Hit 90 down hill quite supprised ! and more to come, much faster than my old XL500 honda, but my VFR750 is just super smooth at that speed, probably due to good fairing aerodinamics , no the KLR's are better suited to sub 70 speeds and trail riding thats for sure! mirrors stayed put tho !
