I was in local dealership yesterday and saw an 09' KLR on sale for $4,699.00 That's a pretty good deal. Brand new bike. Plano Kawasaki. Plano, Texas north of Dallas.

Did you ask if that was the "out the door price"??

Usually they start adding onto what you think is a hot price. Dealer prep and crap like that.

The '09s have a $500 dollar advertised discount and a "up to" $500 dealer discount but that is at the dealers prerogative to use it. Looks like you found a prerogative dealer. Rule of thumb, add $100 dollars for each thousand the bike costs, in other words 10%. Add $470 to the $4699 price. That will give you a good estimate of the out the door price.

I got my 09 a year ago for $4500.00 OTD. With 2011 around the corner, I would think you should be able to get 09s for less than what I got mine for in 09.

Something like this: http://washingtondc.craigslist.org/n...982261945.html

Now if they waived the prep/freight that would be a good deal. Just tack on tax, title and probably some stupid admin fee (I got mine from a now defunct dealer w/o paying the prep/freight, but HAD to pay their $120 processing fee).

Should get out the door for a bit under $5k I would think. Never been to this place, so I have no idea how they are.

'09 klr out the door

I got mine from Chico motorsports on 30 Sept for 4300 OTD, they had others and had add's in paper.
My town 30 miles from Chico would not deal and wanted 700 dollars more.
