I have a taller after market windshield, and use it year 'round. It keeps the wind and wet stuff off me. I have no issues with wind buffeting, a common complaint of taller windshields on KLR's. The down side to the taller screen is that it took a few smacks in the face to adjust to it's presence. When the front end heads up, that windshield is coming back into your range of body motion. Rough terrain, high speeds and a few moments of recovering from being stunned by an impact with the wind screen aren't my idea of a good combination. My riding style has changed recently, where I am on the pegs more often. That wind screen just hits me in the throat instead of the head now. You'll have to determine your primary usage....road or trail....and make your decision on that, as far as wind screen height.
I have no experience with that manufacturer, however, that looks like a good price on the wind screen.
And welcome to the forum!
