Tire Sale

http://www.compacc.com/p/Shinko-705-...l-Tire-Package

If you're interested in running the Shinko 705's, they're on sale for $115 shipped for a set.

I've never run them, but many here love em' and I'll kick around running them in the future.

Right now Compacc has a bunch of tire deals going on and I've found them to have some of the best prices on these package deals.

For those of us who Sport Tour, kick around the Michelin Pilot Road 2 tires. I love the stick and the long life out of them. All for less than $250 for a set for the standard size of 120f/180r combo..

And no, I don't have anything to do with Compacc, but like passing deals on. I bought a set of the Pilot Road 2's for my FZ6 from Compacc and they shipped fast. The tires are fantastic..

Good luck and buying tires now helps those of us who have bikes tucked away for the winter..

Thumbs up

Looks like a few bucks off everyone else on the Michelin T63s as well. Thank you for the heads up!

$105 for a set of T63s? Is that right? What sort of life do you get out of them? I'm thinking about riding a couple dual sport rides next fall and they'd be perfect for the events, if I can get at least a couple thousand miles out of the rear.

The events are only a couple weeks between each other. One is only 40 miles from me and I'd ride the bike to and from the event, and the other is in Northern WI so I'd toss the bike in the back of my truck, but it's about 250 miles over a couple days.

Crap, now I have to do more research..

Well, I have yet to finish off my stokers, lol, but rather I do or not I plan on getting these for the Death Valley ride next month. Over the last couple months I have read my eyes blind about tires and I can't seem to find a better tire for klr style off road use yet still able to scrape pegs in the twisties. After putting them at the top of my list I met some riders around here who swear by them after going through all sorts of brands and styles they say these are the only tires they will ride. Everything I read to what I am told they seem to average about 5k miles on the rear with hard riding both hwy pounding and crazy off roading (these guys are crazy impossible to keep up with offroad). They are similar to the 606s everyone raves about with a bit shorter knobbies and a bit firmer compound from what I gather.

One of the guys I am riding to DV with runs 606s and has had the T63 and likes them equally. He said if I stick with him I will be adding over 1k miles just going to DV and back. If anything I figure they are a good set for my first pick off the stockers and for DV.

Whats their to think about? GREAT tire for the money. Waaaaaay better than the Shinko- (knobbie) without loosing any knobs. Im on my third rear after tryin a metzeler sahara enduro, shinko 744?( i think thats the knobbie?) They are good in the twisties and got a good bite to them in the dirt. Im averaging about two thousand outta my rear but i ride pretty hot on the highway.

I was hoping you would chime in as I know you shred tires like a mad man!

I was talking to my friend and realized I miss quoted, the group's average milage is 3k not 5 for the best of the tire. Still really good and for the price the cost per mile is stellar!
