Wanted used quiet slip on for 2014 KLR650

Wanted to buy used aftermarket slip on for 2014 KLR650 primarily for appearance and weight reduction. I do not want a loud system. Thanks.

IMHO, there is no such thing as a "quiet" aftermarket muffler for a KLR650 or any other bike, to the best of my knowledge.

Some are just tolerable and some just down right Obnoxious!

Look for Staintune or Leo Vince X3 for they never need re-packing.

quietest aftermarket silencers are the LeoVince X3 and Lexx (both with the quiet tips installed) at around 94db. .....A Q4 is 96 and several are up around 100db. Nothing is as quiet as stock but the X3 is fairly quiet with good tone, 4 lbs lighter than stock and doesn't need repacking as Paul mentioned.

Cheers,
Dave

Check out the Delkevic 18" pipes; they also come with silencers and they're cheap at around $205. I've used them on a Ninja 500, Ninja 650, and Versys 650. If you want quiet, you need a large pipe, not the stubby things everyone usually puts out. With the silencer in the sound will be nice and not too loud. Mine were only ever slightly louder than stock at idle and gave a nice sporty note while riding and these were smaller than the ones available for the KLR. I'll be ordering one myself next paycheck. Good luck.

Quiet slip on? I think that's sacrilege. Vance and Hines XCR without the insert. And ear plugs.

I did a quick search on Delkevic and could find no db ratings, no mention of a spark arrestor or USFS compliance stamp......all are critical to me.

I was able to quiet my slip on by inserting a baffle.

I tracked down the manufacturer and they had a whole series of baffles on the shelf for people who want a more neighbor friendly exhaust.

I had to call and speak with customer service to get the part number as it wasn't blindingly obvious online which part was correct.
