New LS2 Citation "Wake" Helmet with Pinlock Fog Fighter Insert -$85

I bought this helmet on-line and it just isn't quite the right fit for me. It is the LS2 Citation/Vector FF397 - "Wake" graphic. It is a beautiful helmet and it rivals the quality of the all of the Shoei helmets I've had in the past. I just have a long oval head and this is an intermediate oval shape helmet designed for most heads except mine. I wear an XL Shoei long oval so I thought ordering a 3XL might work knowing that LS2's tend to run at least a size small. I would say anyone that wears an XL or XXL would fit this helmet well. It is a very high quality fiberglass composite that is very light. It has a cable drop down sun shield and great ventilation. It also has the Emergency Release Cheek Pads/Neck Roll that you hope you'll never need, but will be thankful for if an EMT ever has to take your helmet off for you. As you can see in the pictures I haven't even taken the protective film of the face shield and there is also a really nice cloth storage/travel bag and optional reflective stickers included. The helmet sold for $229 and I also bought the optional Fog Fighter pin-lock insert which was and extra $35.

I'll include the new unopened Fog Fighter insert with the helmet for just $85 plus $20 shipping anywhere in the lower 48 states, via PayPal.Please respond by PM.

Here is the Manufacturers Description:

Great price and detailed ad. Nice looking helmet. Shouldn’t last long.

Exceptionally good deal for someone!

I'm of the, "long oval" persuasion as well; the Arai Signets approach my configuration. (Just for information purposes: An Arai Signet so fitted would approach $ 1000 retail.)

For prospective buyers: The PINLOCK bonus offered comprises an extraordinarily useful accessory.

Yes Arai are awfully proud of their helmets. Our local Ducati shop will fit me with a Arai Signet-X Focus in back & white or yellow and white for $540 "on sale" from $830. I'm pretty frugal especially being retired now but my beloved Shoei 8 Ball has served me long past it's shelf life and the liner is pretty ragged. Shoei has changed their shell sizing and it looks like the Arai Signet X is the best option, or at least the only helmet I've found that fit well. I only have one head so I guess every decade or so I should farkle my noggin. I tried on an XL and even before the dealer fit adjustments it felt good but in term of plushness and quality I don't think it was remarkably different that my LS2 Citation and the fiberglass shell of LS2 is much lighter. I really wish I head an average shaped head dammit.

Cheers
Kev

Just sharing a little head size-and-shape rapport:

I'm 7-5/8 long oval; would have tried on an Arai Signet XXL if available, but XL was the largest around. Fits snugly, but easy on, easy off, and--imbues some crash-protection confidence. I have also an Arai dirt-bike helmet, same size, but that model is NOT long oval--serviceable, but . . . wish it WERE long oval!

Please, excuse the distraction: My goal would be to help you sell your fully-excellent Citation skid lid, not to sell YOU an Arai!

Were I helmet-shopping right now, your helmet would be GONE! Best of luck in finding the headgear a new home.

You really can't go wrong at this price. Mine cost a bit more than the solid color one that they reviewed because I choose the "Wake" graphic so I'd have a more visibility on the road.

Cheers
