Eagle Mike makes the best one for the KLR plus if you want to lower your front fender his brace allows you to do that as well. I believe out of the two kits Iím aware of his is the only one that allows that.

Yup Eagle Mikes fork brace is on my Gen 1. There are serious off roaders who feel the brace inhibits some of the handling on rough stuff off road, i havent pounded the shit out of mine off road in some time, so I can not concur with that view. That being said, highway corners where the pavement has a lot of rough choppy cracks, the brace made the handling much better, less random bouncy rubbery. More controlled. Overall I like the brace alot. I also have progressive springs up front. seems like a good combination.

I eventually found an EM Brace for a really good deal and bought it! Easily noticeable handling improvement on road. Handling offroad is very good too! I say absolutely. My brother and I switched bikes last week for about 30 mins and we will both tell you they are FAR better with the brace. Money well spent for me.
