1999 - Golden, CO

Amazing condition KLR650. I have not owned it that long, but I knew the previous owner and how well he took care of it. Only 17,000 on the clock. The only reason I am selling is because it was my commuter, but I now bring my dog with me to work and I can't on this. Clean and clear CO title in my name. Great dual sport adventure bike or cruiser.

Comes with saddlebags, Corbin aftermarket seat, fork stabilizer, almost new tires, skid plate, and it has been re-geared for better highway driving. Doo-hickey has been done too.

Grip heaters don't work, I assume it is an easy fix but it never bothered me. I purchased a new battery this week ($100).

It really is an amazing bike, runs like a top! A great find for someone.

I could be talked into selling my helmet / jacket / armor / pants / gloves / boots too if you are looking to get totally kitted out. They are not included in the price

I am open to trades, but not for another motorcycle obviously. If you have a tow-behind camper, or a reliable commuter car feel free to offer. I don't care about watches or any of that stuff so please don't ask to trade with it.

I am new here and can't seem to post the CL link with pictures. You should be able to find it, or I can send them to you if you PM me.

$2,999

You will need 15 total postings to make pics easy.

I have a KLR acquaintance/customer who rode his KLR with his 70 pound Labrador & possessions from college in Laramie WY to Alaska to work in the fishing camps for the summer & then rode home to Florida in the autumn.

Some dogs love to ride bikes, complete with 'doggles' / goggles.

Yeah I saw that. Still a bit of a pain for me right now, ha.

Maybe it will work if I split up the address:

https://denver.craigslist.org/mcy/d/...099310381.html

If anyone wants to copy/paste that just delete the spaces after the 2nd / before .org and before .html

I was hoping to talk you into purchasing some 'doggles'. Rather than selling your bike.

If we drive this posting up to a 6 count more people will see it.

Ha, already a proud owner of some doggles! I just don't trust myself on the bike with him. Maybe if I had one of those sweet side cars but I have never seen one for our bikes.

OH, then you need to go over to several of the FaceBook KLR sites and check out some of the side hacks.

Some of them are worth more than the KLR's that they are attached to, I think!

Don't have a FB but I will take your word for it, ha.

I am willing to bet you know more about these bikes than I do. Do you think I have it priced appropriately?

Seems just a little high to me. You're correct. Mileage is pretty low. Some might shy away from a bike this old at this price. No criticism. I have a 1997 and 1990 so age doesn't concern me. But if you really want to get some serious lookers and sell it you'll probably need to come down.

Thanks. I have already gotten some interest so I might keep it where it is and then I can always negotiate when the time comes. I just wanted to make sure I wasn't too low, ha!
