Shawnee in near Nelsonville and Perry. You will need Ohio off road permits for anything around Nelsonville but as a plated bike Perry State Forest is free and open now. Be warned Perry is for experienced off road riders mostly and has mud holes that will swallow a KLR whole! lol Wear your best mud tires and lower the front sprocket if you can to a 14 tooth.
If you are just looking for enjoyable gravel roads you can find them all over that area and some of the best start near Perry State ORV area.

Looks like this might be a good place to check out. Are there many forest service roads or old logging roads in or near Wayne Nat Forest? (Yes I know this thread is nearly a year old.)
