hello iowa, im from northwest illinois..dont know what you have for riding over there, but if you ever head this way or up to wisconsin (which will be where most of my trips will be to) give a shout.

Sounds cool. Another trip to consider. I have some land up in northern MN, Just north of Cass Lake. It's on a lake called Mission. There are just 2 houses on it. I am planning at least one ride up this summer. Pretty rough camping(which I really enjoy) great scenery. There is a casino about 5 miles away. Lots of fire trails and gravel roads. The last time I stayed there the casino was only $50 a night. There is also the national forest which is gorgous camping east of Cass Lake. There is a lot of great riding up there.

Talking Nearly neighbors

I am in Ankeny Iowa, real close. I don't have a KLR yet but am looking for a good used one now. Bike caming is awsome. Used to do it all the time. I will keep in touch when the KLR is in the garage.---------Rethy

Thats sounds cool. I picked up my green 06 just before Christmas on ebay for $3300. Only mod was highway pegs. He also buthered the seat for 2 up.
I bought a saddleman gel seat cover and pelican box for a trunk and I am read for less that $3500. I have been out a couple times when it hit 40 degrees. I put on 60 miles. Way to much fun. I did about 15 on gravel and I go the brain storm to ride across the state on only gravel this summer. Let me know if you are in.

Later,

Thumbs up Im in

I am definately in on that one. That would be a great time. I am currently stuggling with new or used purchase. The writeups on the 08 really brag them up. I have time, if a smokin deal on a used falls in my lap I will probably go that route. The future looks bright Weedhopper. HEHE, I have a sick sense of humor.------Rethy
