That sucked but it could have changed that dudes life forever. Lucky! One thing I saw is he started and then had to stop because the car in front of him did. I always wait a little bit before taking off and my brake light stays on. All 5 of them. Yes I have 5 (FIVE) brake lights! AND they flash! Give yourself a little more room. Remember, the brake light stays on because when it goes off, the car behind you thinks "GO". Also when your feet come up, that signals the car behind you "GO". Your Feet stay on the ground and when you go, GO! Don't screw around. Get the F out of there. Outrun what's behind you. That dude needed more room in front of him to outrun the car behind him. Give yourself room. Remember the person behind you can't drive worth a crap!

I feel safer on my bike over my car. I think it is the illusion of control being much more in touch with the bike. That being said, I started counting the flip a coin live or die episodes last year, and it felt better to stop counting.
