Good deal for a little extra visibility.

Caveat: I ride in dense fog and dense traffic every day. If you don't, this might be pointless.

I have always been intrigued by this product:

http://newenough.com/closeouts/helme...met_light.html

But thirty bucks always seemed a little steep. On sale for $3 and it was tough to say no. It was like 8 bucks with USPS shipping.

Anyway, if you know me or have seen my bike you know I like to be VISIBLE. I got a lot of reflective tape on that thing (mostly black tape that reflects white). I just got the helmet light yesterday and obviously I can't see myself from behind, but all you have to do is blow into the turbine and the LED's start blinking. The plastic is a little cheap. I would have been a little bummed if I'd payed 30 plus shipping. But at this price, hell, how can you go wrong?

Disclaimer: I do not know anyone from NewEnough. They just rock.

These lights ROCK!

Have had one of these on my helmet for over a year... it's handeled the PacNorWet rains just fine so far. This is a great add-on for additional visibility at night or crappy weather.

My wife followed me on the Freeway today and she said it made a big difference.
