theotherbigjoe It's a tank vent.
the hose runs down to the swingarm.

DRAGON997 Its a small black hose that plugs into the tank by where you mont the tank to the frame. probably a vent.
So its lean! thanks

theotherbigjoe the Small one at the back of the petcock is the vacuum for the auto fuel shut off. Inside the petcock is a diaphram. It needs vacuum to let fuel flow. In addition to the valve.

Not remembering what the hose by the seat mount is... maybe it's the vacuum line for the smog stuff.. or the crankcase breather.. How big is it?
by seat mount. do you mean at the back of the tank? 2 lines or 1?

the popping is.... lean pop. turn the Idle screw another 3/4 turn open.

on edit: With the new pipe you may need to go up a size on the main jet to get rid of all the pop...

DRAGON997 Hey Joe,

You were correct, adjusted the cables at the carb. Works excellent.
Sorry for the delay, got watchin the olympics.

Can anyone answer a couple of questions please.

What is the small hose coming to the petcock, is it a vent?
Then what is the hose that pluggs in by the seat mount?

I did the 22 cent mod, 1 washer and 2 turns out, then installed a Hindle slip on.
I have some popping on decleration, is that a lean issue? havnt road tested it yet. Temp at 0 celcius and 4000ft altitude.

DRAGON997 I think I had the return cable adjuster on the carb, adjusted improperly.
Just checked it now.
The return cable adjustment at the carb should have the cable holder closer to the holder bracket [ more threads below the bracket ]
Hope that makes sense.
I will try running it on Monday, to late now.
Will post results on Monday PM.Thanks

theotherbigjoe It's a cable lube/adjustment.. and a throttle handle lube.
Use a cable lube...on the cables and a graphite type dry lube on the throttle plastic sleeve.
Double check the Carb by taking off the cables (remove the one screw on the gold bracket. bring the bracket with the cables attached down and slide the cable ends out of the groove) off and see if the spring is functioning on the butterfly pivot pin.

Let us know how it goes.

slow to return to idle.

I did the 22 cent mod this winter also added a aftermarket muffler.
When the bike is turned off the throttle returns back to seated or all way forward positon quickly.
When bike is running and your rev the motor the throttle is very slow to return to seated or idle.
Is ist a vacuum issue? carb issue ? or cable adjustment?
Thanks in advance.
