New guy from Raleigh
I've been lurking for a few weeks now. It's time to set that right now that I have a sense of the forums and have learned a bit about the KLR.
I'm a long time rider who happened upon a great deal on a 2017 KLR. I picked it up from a talented mechanic who really enjoys "the build"
Here're the list of mods applied before I bought the bike. Pretty comprehensive I think.

I'm in the process of adding Wolfman Bags, SW-Motech crashbars, DirtTrack rear crashbars, tankpads and a mount for my GPS (which will move between my bikes). I should be damn close to the perfect medium weight ADV by the time I'm done. My KLR (I call it "Donkey") is a great complement to my GS ADV which I'll reserve for longer trips and "spirited riding".
I look forward to participating in the community and perhaps being an actual contributor as I learn more.
