Lockjaw PVC pipe. A foot and a half. Put it on the passenger peg flipped up. Mine fits tight enough for no tape. Rods go in. Zip tie to the helmet lock. Easy. If you don't poke out an eye.

Dirka13 thought i would bump this thread to see if there are any new inventive ways that the klr can hold a fishing rod, im looking to get a 4 piece st croix, but it would save me money if i could just use my two piece rapala rod and have a secure rod holder for the longer trips

clogan Any of you guys use the Popiel's Pocket Fisherman?
It's the greatest!!! Only $19.95. What a deal! And there's more! You also get the Ginsu fishing knife to use in cleaning all those fish you will catch.
But wait! If you order now, they'll DOUBLE the offer. You get TWO of these outstanding fishing systems for the price of one!

Just had to throw that in ;-)

Yep, we go a couple of times a year to Roaring River and it will be my first motorcycle camping/fishing trip location. A spinning rod with 4 lb line and a Meps spinner and a guy is set.
