Good will...

It certainly earned them a little good will from me. I wasn't considering Givis for my planned purchse this fall. Guess I'll reconsider after your post. Thank you!

Paper I was hoping they'd cover it.. I have a lot of Givi stuff and it's always been top quality.. Glad to hear they stood behind your issue.

efigalaxie Givi at first was not going to warranty the case, but then they replaced the bottom of it as a good will gesture. It does maintain my good will. I am concerned because I do not know what made it splt.

Givi Cases

When I got my bike, I had it outfitted with Givi top and side cases. They are mounted on the happy trail mounts. One of the E21 side cases had the lock slot worn and split almost in two. Givi has a 2 year warranty. So I took it back to my dealer. At the dealer, I noticed a very straight crack in the back of the case. It was almost like the split was supposed to be there it was so straight. Givi is trying to deny warranty on the case. They are trying to point the finger at either Happy Trail or the rack installer. (StarCity Powersports - who did a damn fine job) They claim that an outline of the rack can be seen on the case and the split and that outline line up. Yet, the cases have room between them and the rack, perhaps as much as an eighth of an inch. I took and made a video of the other side case going on that rack. So they will look at it and let me know.

I will keep you up to date as to how this resolves, but be cautious if you are considering Givi products and the whole solution isn't Givi.
