Posted property is more of a respect thing for me, although I've lived places where there is more of a "shoot first" policy. Just like I wouldn't want somebody to sit on my bike in a parking lot (without asking), I also don't want them trimming across my property (without my permission). Back when I lived elsewhere and riding mountain bikes, there were a bunch of posted signs with contact info listed. Talking to the property owners, they were just fine with riding on their property, but they wanted at least an introduction before just saying DWYW. In our overly litigious society, it's also a CYA thing. |

Aron31 | Has anyone ever been busted for riding on private property? I don't know how it is everywhere else but out here they really don't care unless your hunting on their private land. |

thetable | Oh it's all good, I've heard about it a couple times. I don't know if you can see it or not, or if it even made the final cut, but there are several survey old survey flags, some are on the left and some are on the right, but I never saw anything looking like we were actually riding on posted property. I gotta admit, when I went following, I was a bit nervous about trespassing and making too much noise. |

thetable | Looked like the posted sign was facing to the side, so I'm assuming that it is meant for the property adjacent. |

thetable | It was definitely fun, and gave me some ideas of what needs to be done to the bike next. Proper hand guards are high on the list. Other than that, more miles in the dirt. |

LittleSteve | Nice. Pretty tough the first third. That'll give me some confidence going in... |
