TN dirt roads

I've never done this but have heard good things. You can pay for the tour or just buy the guy's map.

WVBassFan About an hour or so south of clarksburg you can exit off of I79 onto rt. 19 (state route) south and travel down WV...you can explore plenty of dirt trails around birch river to webster springs then back to 19 where you will cross over the New River Gorge bridge or take a small winding backroad and go under (pretty cool) prior to that you can explore 60...midland trail...it's asphalt but nice scenery...lots of exploring off of 19 then continue to Beckley wv where you can get on I77 (toll road) and go north to Charleston which will put you right back on the road to KY....all of that area is beautiful country to ride....

Fire44 First go to the Makers Mark website and sign up to be an ambassador. Then you can have you name (along with 20 or so other people) put on a barrel plate. You don't get the whole barrel but you do get to go and buy up to 2 bottles from your barrel. You can also buy a barrel plate if you wish.

As for the shots questions......

I don't drink Makers as a shot, fill rock glass with ice and then add Makers, allow to site and "chill" then enjoy. How many COULD I drink and still ride....two maybe three, how many WILL I have and still ride....NONE, theres too many people out there in their cars trying to run you down!

Davidnft My barrel comes available at the same time. I live in NKY but will be making the trek with the family. Good luck on your ride.

planalp I've been around quite awhile but that is, without a doubt, the best reason I've ever heard of for taking a road trip.

Good luck!

Looking for some suggestions

I am a fan of Makers Mark Bourbon and have a barrel with my name on it that is about to "come of age" in the next 6-12 months. I can go to the distillery and get bourbon from "my" barrel (not for free but...). My wife has not expressed any interest in taking the trip (in fact she expressed just the opposite ). I was thinking, how about an adventure ride out to Loretto, KY from Delaware. I know that the first 200 miles will be all black top, maybe pick up some dirt on the west side of VA and run as much off road as possible across WV and into KY. Does anyone that lives out that way have any suggestions on where I can get info for a route like that?

Thanks!!!
