corniilius To and from work everyday except when it rains. Easier to avoid being hit that way. People forget how slick the roads get. I had to ride home in the rain last night and decided against wearing gloves. One never realizes how much water can sting till your hands are being pelted with it at over 60 mph.

A quick one today.

Good Afternoon All,

Mr. Cabrito and I went on a quick spin from San Francisco through the Marin Headlands and back. I was able to use the GoPro. A very nice and quick ride.

The problem is I do not know how to upload video.

It was the first KTM990 I'd ever seen in person and it was an impressive machine. I certainly wouldn't turn down a free one, but too big for my kind of riding: there's a lot of motorcycle and engine there.

GoManny77 I threw my 12year old son on the back of my '12 KLR and we went to lunch in Alta Sierra, CA. 30+ miles of dirt road, a detour to a fire lookout tower and chicken balls for appetizers. He is napping now with a smile on his face. We had a ball. Weather was great! Weather was in the 50s in the valley and 40s in the mountains. Needless to say he likes dads new KLR!

planalp All over half the gravel and dirt roads in the county accompanied by my wife on her 4-wheeler. Great day for a ride. We stopped for a break in the parking lot across the street from a local bar and there was a white KTM Adventure 990 parked there.

Hell, besides the excellent ride the day keeps getting better. Drank some beer and watched the game and the Chiefs played well and won. Now on to more beer on a nice day and firing up the grill for some burgers and homemade curly fries and the wife is making brownies. Life doesn't get much better if you don't ask for much in the first place!

Had to clear my head....

Went on a "shake out the cobwebs" ride today. Not far, about 40 miles total. It sure helped shut out my inner voice. 42 deg. Not a lot of wind. Rode around the lake south of town. Stopped on the beach and walked for awhile. Felt MUCH better when I got home. It was a good day....

sticksnstones Been using the tourer mostly lately but today I piled the kids on the KLR and chugged on down the tracks with the missus hauling the mates in the cut down 4WD bushtruck, to go swimming.
Getting into decent hot summer weather here so the big waterhole down the valley has become very attractive.
Didn't see any platypus due to the racket but I know there are a few in there. Kids love riding three-up on the KLR.

corniilius No worries. It occasionally gets cold out as well.
